Flipkart should be tried for treason

National General Secretary of Confederation of All India Traders (CAT), Praveen Khandelwal, has demanded the government to initiate sedition proceedings against Flipkart. Flipkart has described Nagaland as part of India from its official tweet handle, due to which there is a lot of stir on social media. The above things were said by Subhash Aggarwal of CAT.

He said that CAT would take up this serious matter with Union Home Minister Amit Shah soon. Deleting the said tweet, Flipkart cannot be forgiven. Staying in India and telling a state of the country outside the country is an unforgivable crime against which action should be taken under the law. By calling Nagaland outside India, Flipkart has not only insulted the sentiments of the people of Nagaland and the Northeast but has hurt every Indian.

Today, Flipkart has described Nagaland as part of India, tomorrow it can also call Leh Ladakh as part of India. This reflects the mindset of companies like Flipkart. Because this statement is made from the official Twitter handle of Flipkart, it cannot be taken as anyone's personal view.
