E-commerce companies are seeing a lot of sales as soon as the festive season starts. Walmart-owned e-commerce companies Flipkart and Amazon India have said that there have been good sales of vendors from Tier-2 and smaller cities in the early days of the festive season on their platform. In this festive season, Amazon India and Flipkart have organized a festive season sale to attract customers, offering attractive offers.

In view of the festive season, Amazon India has brought the 'Great Indian Festival' sale. The company says that 1.1 lakh sellers have received orders on their platform in the first 48 hours of the sale. At the same time, Flipkart has brought 'The Big Billion Days' sale. The company said that more than three lakh vendors have participated in this sale and more than 60 percent of them were from Tier-2 or smaller cities.

Amazon India's 'Great Indian Festival Sale' has started on October 17, which will run for about a month. Amazon India vice-president Manish Tiwari said, "These 48 hours have been the most important in the 7-year history of Amazon. We have made great preparations for the vendors. About 1.1 lakh sellers have received orders during this period. Of these, 66 percent of the orders came from small towns. '

Tiwari said that there are a total of 6.5 lakh sellers on Amazon. He said that there has been a huge increase in the number of new customers coming to his platform. 91 percent of these new customers have come from metros and small towns and cities. Tiwari said that about 66 percent of the new prime sign-ups were from small towns like Tawang and Changlang, Mokokchung (Nagaland), Baran (Rajasthan), Pudukottai (Tamil Nadu), Una (Himachal Pradesh), and Jaunpur (Uttar Pradesh) in Arunachal Pradesh. Huh.

On the other hand, Flipkart said that about 50 percent of the new customers shopping on its platform was from third-tier cities. Flipkart sale starts from October 16. Snapdeal also says that 90 percent of the new customers coming to its sale were from second and third-tier cities.
